Well I talked about it for a while but I have finally pulled the trigger and entered the Peddars Way Ultra, at the end of January 2015!
With the loss of the Intrepid Duathlon from my race calendar, my training had lost all its focus and it feels good to get something booked in, all be it a while away yet.
Originally I had hoped to do another Ultra in November, but with the continuing niggle in my right hip I wanted to ensure I had time for it to settle down and also do a proper build into the race. While my first official ultra had gone well, the build up was pretty accelerated, probably too much so. With the Peddars Way Ultra being right at the end of January, this gives me 4 clear months to recover and slowly build into a decent training block and taper ahead of the race.
